The 5 Warning Signs & Symptoms of Stroke Are: 1) Sudden numbness or weakness in the face or one side of the body; 2) Sudden confusion or difficulty speaking; 3) Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes; 4)  Suden trouble walking, dizziness or loss of balance; 5) Sudden severe headache with no known cause

Executive Committee

The Tri-State Stroke Network (TSSN) Executive Committee meets quarterly via conference calls to plan full network webinars, provide nominations for the TSSN chairperson and the Epi & Data Committee chairperson, and discuss progress toward goals; attends the annual face-to-face Executive Committee meeting in order to plan the upcoming year’s goals and strategies and; works with TSSN Executive Director to consider possible outside funding sources or partners for specific projects.

As grant funds allow, the Executive Committee will be reimbursed for travel to the leadership meeting for annual action planning, nominating new chairs, etc.

Members:

  • Tri-State Stroke Network current and past chairpersons
  • Current TSSN chairpersons of the Epi & Data Committee and Ad-Hoc Committees
  • AHA/ASA State Health Alliance Directors for GA, NC, and SC
  • State Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Directors from GA, NC, and SC
  • Medical doctor with expertise in stroke treatment &/or research (1 from each state)
  • TSSN Executive Director & TSSN program assistant
