Improving Chronic Disease Management Outcomes through Wireless Technologies

Description:

Improving Chronic Disease Management Outcomes was a symposium focusing on the need for the improved use of technological advances in chronic disease management. The purpose of this symposium was to bring together the critical stakeholders in the management of chronic diseases in the armed forces and public sectors and to discuss how new advances and innovative solutions can be leveraged and scaled across their populations.

The organizers invited a diverse cross section of healthcare professionals representing the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, and Veterans Affairs as well as other national and state governmental leaders, academics, health care system executives, and technology solution providers to explore and discuss promising advances in chronic disease management.  

The event took place at the Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


Challenges and Solutions: Preventing and Treating Cardiovascular Disease through Telehealth Technology in Eastern North Carolina
